Computer Support

The computer support for the department of Economics is handled by two groups. The College of Liberal Arts Computer Support Services, LACSS, for windows operating system support, and ASET for unix support. To request help from LACSS, please go to http://techsupport.la.psu.edu. Help for the Unix systems is avalible by emailing econ@aset.psu.edu. Information specific to the Economic's department computers is listed on this site.

A change is being made to the unix servers. They are being migrated to Linux servers over the next few years. These 2 Operating Systems behave very similarly and will take the same commands. The home directories and data will be shared across the 2 system types.
