LECTURER IN ECONOMICS

ANY FIELD

The Department of Economics at The Pennsylvania State University seeks to hire one or more teaching specialists beginning July 1, 2014. Candidates must be able to handle a large class environment and effectively teach at both introductory and intermediate levels in macro, micro, and/or econometrics.  A teaching record of accomplishment is expected but less seasoned applicants will be considered, especially new Ph.D.s whom have taught large classes as part of their graduate careers. Lecturers teach a 3/3 load and work as part of a team of instructors tasked with teaching most of the introductory and intermediate-level courses in the Department. The positions are not tenure-track, but contracts are available for multiple years and are renewable. Compensation is highly competitive. Materials must be received by November 20, 2013.
